Top Nicest Towns*: According to Daniel and The Blonde

*In no specific order, towns that stood out to us in overall niceness. Check back for updates.

Sheridan, WY
I swear, everybody here was nice. Literally, everyone. Even the lady checking our drunk asses in at the hotel at 3 AM in the morning. Then there was the lady who overheard us complaining that hotels.com lied to us about the distance we had to walk to our motel. (A mile difference makes a big difference when you're walking in sub zero temperatures) and volunteered to drive us. Cashiers, bartenders, hosts, gas station attendants, everyone!  We bought our RV here and Dalton's RV Sales was a great experience, everyone there helped make our "first home purchase" amazing. The local healthfood store was a hot spot for random, friendly conversation. The bartender at Blacktooth Brewing was happy, accommodating and friendly. The bartender at  Warehouse 201/Luminous Brewing not only helped us get a show there, but he was just an awesome bartender. I cannot think of a single person that we encountered here that wasn't nice. That's how nice this town is.

Ellensburg, WA
Bar owners, local patrons, college guys who helped us back our RV into a parking lot, people that made us do shots of fireball at their house after the show, our new friend Lauren. Pizza store guy, brewery bartenders, coffeeshop gals. Anyway..everyone was nice. Point of story.

Petrolia, CA
Talk about a place tucked away into the countryside. This little town was snuggled between the hills and western coastline so comfortably that I could have just stayed there forever and been content. I had so many great conversations with different people. We genuinely met at least 10 people we would be friends with in one night. That's a ratio of 10 to 1.  All those cool people in one small town. Pretty good odds. We were randomly in the secluded area watching some friends hang glide when Yarrow and her young son came out to watch and so after some talk and what not, she helped get us a gig at the Yellow Rose. All in all, people seem to be themselves here, comfortable in their own skin and living their lives how they want. Something I think we should all try to learn to do.. Salute to Petrolia for being so awesome and I hope we see you again soon.
